Convention to focus on 'green' products






The Green Industry and Equipment Expo returns to Louisville this week, bringing 22,500 attendees and an estimated economic impact of more than $7 million.
The event, which will be held Oct. 23 to 25 at the Kentucky Exposition Center, features 750 exhibits by manufacturers and suppliers of lawn and garden, landscape maintenance, outdoor leisure and outdoor power equipment products. It will include the Hardscape North America event, a trade show for contractors and distributors.
Registrations from more than 25 countries are expected.
The green industry expo ranked No. 11 on Business First’s 2013 list of the area’s largest trade shows and conventions with an estimated economic impact of $7.01 million.
Topping that list was the National FFA Convention, which returns to Louisville Oct. 28 to Nov. 2. It has an estimated economic impact of $40 million.
