LawBank, a new co-working space for attorneys, opens in Denver

Denver now has its own co-working space dedicated exclusively to solo and small-practice attorneys.
LawBank is located at Interstate 25 and Colorado Boulevard, and its founders say it’s the first co-working space of its kind in the country because it caters only to lawyers.
The space offers independent attorneys 24/7 access to an office phone system, wireless access and printing and copying capabilities. A receptionist is on duty during standard office hours.
Partners Jay Kamlet, Rob Fogler and Jordan Deifik created the co-working law office based on Kamlet’s vision. He’d been practicing law in Denver for more than 25 years and had started his own firm.
Deifik has a background in commercial real estate and handles the operational side of the business, while Fogler and Kamlet provide the legal industry expertise.
“Jay saw a growing number of attorneys leaving the big firms,” Fogler said. “The idea behind LawBank was to offer an alternative to the traditional working model for lawyers without sacrificing professionalism.”
In addition to attorneys who have left larger firms, LawBank caters to recent law graduates who have decided to start their careers as solo practitioners. The partners agreed that these new lawyers needed a place to learn from, and collaborate with, others in the field.
“The vision behind it was that lawyers get better by engaging with – and practicing with – each other,” said Fogler.
LawBank offers private offices, semi-private cubicles, open co-working spaces and meeting rooms, as well as a coffee bar and lounge area.
