Organizational Objective/Purpose:
The Real Estate Analytics team provides analytical support for all real estate decisions of the firm, as well as providing demographic and strategic analysis in support of the branch network.
Brief Description of Role:
Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Conducting financial analysis of real estate project proposals, some simple and some highly complex, ensuring all reasonable alternatives are considered, and present results and recommendations to management
  • Preparing formal approval requests for lease renewals and capital projects
  • Conducting demographics analysis in support of market and site selection for branch real estate
  • Participating in real estate strategic planning and other special projects as required

Technical/Functional Qualifications:

  • Expert in Microsoft Excel, with ability to build complex models from scratch
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Powerpoint
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial office and retail real estate, and familiarity with commercial property valuation methods
  • Familiarity with GAAP for real estate and leases
  • 5+ years experience as a financial analyst, with a strong background in NPV, IRR, P&L, tax vs. book, payback calculations
  • Familiarity with MapInfo, MS Access and/or Alteryx software and demographic analysis preferred
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines, while maintaining accuracy and high quality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with ability to anticipate questions and come prepared with the answers*
